Mismatched Bridesmaids Trend 2022

I have done a lot of digging on this and there is no doubt this is going to be a trend in 2022. I absolutely love it. If you are someone who doesn't like their home decor to be perfectly matched, if you like subtle pops of color, or just don't like things to look "too perfect", this post is for you!

Mismatched bridesmaid's dresses are a gorgeous look for your wedding party if it is done properly. There are some colors that go really well together, and some that don't. Here are some examples of color schemes that pair perfectly with your theme!

1. Warm Tones

Okay... I am completely obsessed with this look. I will definitely be using it on my wedding day. The pop of rustic orange and emerald green is absolutely gorgeous. I can't think of a better color scheme than this one for a fall wedding that has a rustic, farmhouse-like venue. The nice thing about this is you don't need extravagant bouquets. The dresses speak for themselves, all you need is some greenery, whites, and creams to compliment them. If you're not a super girly girl like me, this is the perfect mix of sexy and sophisticated. You can definitely pull off some smokey eyes with this look, but don't let it overpower the earthy colors in your attire. I'm a BIG fan of this!

2. Cooler Tones

These cooler tones are very feminine and romantic, perfect for a spring or summer wedding! You do have more color options to work with when creating bouquets. Pinks, blues, purples, would pair very nicely with these colors. I believe the key is to not make your make-up too dramatic. Dark smokey eyes would overpower the softness of this look. Keep it simple with light neutrals and pinks. If you really want to make this look pop, have one or two of your bridesmaids wear a champagne color or something with a different texture altogether. Such a pretty look!

3. Neutrals Tones

This is my second favorite color scheme for bridesmaids. It's really hard to mess this one up if you don't overthink it. This is great because there is so much you can do with it, and it works for basically any wedding theme or venue. When picking out a neutral, be sure to pick ones that go with your bridesmaid's skin tones. If you have pink undertones in your skin, pick a neutral that has more of a brown tint to it. If you are really fair or pale, pick a dress that doesn't wash you out! A huge perk to neutrals is you can use pretty much any flower arrangement or color scheme you want! It's also important to pick out dresses that don't resemble the bride's dress, aka ones that are too white. This is perfect for smaller bridal parties because you don't have to worry about getting all of the right colors in like the warmer tones.

In a future post, I will discuss which bridesmaids colors and schemes pair perfectly with the groomsmen. Stay tuned!
